Topps Card Listing Purportedly Unveils A Brief Overview Of Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s Plot

Star Wars News Net has uncovered a Topps Card listing that purportedly reveals a brief outline of the plot for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Force Friday II is here, ladies and gentlemen, and it brings with it a slew of Star Wars goodies from all of your favorite toy manufacturers – namely Hasbro, LEGO, and Disney.

It’s a global merchandise event that’s set to continue through until Monday, September 4th, and while The Last Jedi writer-director Rian Johnson has allayed fears that this massive launch would wind up spoiling the events of the December sequel, a new Topps Card listing does point to a brief plot outline.

First spotted by the eagle eyes of Star Wars News Net (via Screen Rant), these Base Cards supposedly herald the “Journey to The Last Jedi,” and though there’s a very good chance that each title is a vague, throwaway title and/or catchphrase to push sales, SWNN’s report does suggest that there are minor plot points to be found.

Take “Rey’s Solitude” and “Heroes United” as examples. Not only do they bookend the Base Card collection, but we assume the former is referring to Rey’s harrowing Jedi training aboard Ahch-To, while “Heroes United” could well be a reference to Luke and Leia’s inevitable reunion in The Last Jedi.

Also of note? “Luke’s Grim Perspective,” which surely has something to do with that foreboding line, “it’s time for the Jedi…to end.”

Per SWNN:

91. Rey’s Solitude

92. General Leia Organa

93. Rey and her Lightsaber

94. On Crait

95. Rushing to Attack

96. Finn’s Recovery

97. Poe Responds

98. The Fury of Kylo Ren

99. Shards of the Past

The list continues:

100. Luke’s Grim Perspective

101. Ski Speeder Assault

102. Walkers Incoming

103. The Resistance

104. The Resistance X-wing

105. The Resistance A-wing

106. The Battle Commences

107. Frigates Under Fire

108. The Resistance Vs. The First Order

109. The Millennium Falcon Flees

110. Heroes United

Lucasfilm and Disney have been remarkably tight-lipped when it comes to Star Wars: The Last Jedi – and rightfully so – but we do expect to clock eyes on the sequel’s first full trailer sooner rather than later. As always, watch this space for more.
