Gorgeous Fan-Made Poster For Star Wars: The Last Jedi Fuels The Hype

An artist by the name of 'Spider-maguire' has produced a suitably epic and indeed unofficial poster for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

September 25th marks a very special day for the impassioned Star Wars community, which is currently in the process of celebrating Mark Hamill’s birthday. Here’s hoping the Luke Skywalker actor is treated to some nice power converters from Tosche Station.

But as we near the beginning of October and, presumably, The Last Jedi‘s second trailer, the level of hype and excitement swirling around Rian Johnson’s sci-fi sequel continues to build by the day. And though Disney and Lucasfilm’s marketing departments have been curiously quiet of late, one dedicated fan by the name of ‘Spider-maguire’ has produced a suitably epic and indeed unofficial poster for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which you can check out in the gallery below along with a few others that’ve surfaced recently.

In keeping with the Star Wars posters of old, this particularly dark one-sheet is composed in such a way that it includes all of the many key story elements of The Last Jedi. From Snoke’s elite, crimson guardians to the super-sized Supremacy, Chewbacca to the famed Millennium Falcon, ‘Spider-maguire’ certainly crams an awful lot into a relatively small space, and we imagine The Last Jedi‘s theatrical poster will adopt a slightly similar style in due time.

To date, the sequel’s only poster came during April’s Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, which placed Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the bearded Luke Skywalker on opposite sides of Rey’s outstretched lightsaber. Drenched in a blood-red palette, Disney’s official one-sheet was a decidedly dark addition to the Star Wars universe, and only added another layer of intrigue on top of The Last Jedi, particularly after Skywalker uttered that by-now infamous line, “it’s time for the Jedi…to end,” in the initial teaser.

With less than three months to go and a new trailer expected in a few weeks, it won’t be too long before we have some official details on Star Wars: The Last Jedi. For now, however, that aforementioned fan-made poster is included above, with December 15th being the date for your diaries.
