Steve Rogers Fights Black Widow In Captain America: Civil War Deleted Scene Animatic

Captain America: Civil War is one of only two movies to gross over $1 billion at the worldwide box office (the other being Zootopia) this year, and while Suicide Squad and Doctor Strange stand a very good chance of being financial hits, chances are that they won’t be able to reach that benchmark.

With Civil War‘s theatrical run nearing an end, fans are understandably beginning to get excited about the upcoming Blu-ray release of the movie. Personally, we’re hoping that the special features are going to be as awesome as the animatic above – which comes our way via Marvel Studios storyboard artist Darrin Denlinger.

In it, we see a deleted scene from the movie as Captain America comes to blows with Black Widow during that incredible airport “splash page” sequence. However, before you get too excited about seeing this in live-action as a deleted scene on the Blu-ray, it was confirmed a little earlier this year that it was never actually shot. What a shame, eh?

Seeing this fight in Captain America: Civil War would have been great, but considering the fact that Black Widow later betrayed #TeamIronMan to help Steve and Bucky escape, you can understand why it was dropped (it wouldn’t have made much sense for her to try and take him down, only to let him leave moments later).
