Steven Soderbergh’s next film, Magic Mike, has been picked up by Warner Brothers and has been given a release date of June 29th, 2012. The star of Magic Mike, Channing Tatum will have a busy weekend come June with Magic Mike opening the same day as another one of his films, G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation.
The film is inspired by his real-life experiences of Tatum, focusing on his younger years as a stripper. Magic Mike will be Soderbergh’s first of two films in 2012, with his focus now being put on The Man From U.N.C.L.E., which is gearing up to begin shooting in late February for a rumoured December release.
Magic Mike stars Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Olivia Munn, Riley Keough, Betsy Brandt, Cody Horn and Wendi McLendon-Covey and will be in cinemas on June 29th, 2012
