The internet went into a frenzy earlier this morning when it was announced that Warner Bros. will be releasing an Extended Cut of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. We’re hearing that it will contain 13 minutes of new footage in total, and though not confirmed just yet, rumors are circulating that point to a good chunk of it being focused on Jared Leto’s Joker, who had a lot of his scenes cut for the theatrical version. Again, that remains unconfirmed for now, but it’d make sense given how much of a fuss the Oscar winning actor has made over his role being cut down.

Then again, we’ve also heard that there’s enough cut material from the film to fill “an entire DVD,” so it’s very possible that some of the other characters will get more time in the spotlight as well. At this point, we really don’t know what to expect, but either way, more footage is certainly a good thing.

In addition to all that, Warner Bros. also released the Blu-ray cover art, which you can take a look at below. It’s hardly anything to stop the presses, but will no doubt add to the already considerable amount of excitement surrounding this release.

Check it out down below and let us know if you’re willing to give Suicide Squad another chance with the Extended Cut.
