Superman And Green Lantern Join The Team In New Justice League Fan-Art

Henry Cavill's Man of Steel died at the end of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, but we've known for a while now that the iconic DC Comics superhero will return in Justice League this November. How that will happen remains a mystery, and probably will until the film releases, but he's definitely coming back to join the rest of the team at some point.

Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel died at the end of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, but we’ve known for a while now that the iconic DC Comics superhero will return in Justice League this November. How that will happen remains a mystery, and probably will until the film releases, but he’s definitely coming back to join the rest of the team at some point.

One character who likely won’t be assembling with these characters though is Green Lantern. Rumours may persist that Armie Hammer will take on the role of Hal Jordan, but short of Zack Snyder surprising us in a major way, it looks like Warner Bros. is leaving him on the shelf until the release of Green Lantern Corps. That’s a shame, and feels like a missed opportunity, but thanks to the awesome new fan-art pictured above, we finally get to see Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Flash, and Cyborg joined by Superman and Green Lantern. It’s one heck of a sight and one that we’ll hopefully see for real sooner rather than later.

That being said, we likely won’t have Jordan joining the team until the Justice League sequel – if there is one. It hasn’t been confirmed yet by Warner Bros. and likely, they’re going to wait and see how the first one does before announcing anything. If that recent trailer was any indication, though, things certainly look promising for the DCEU right now and we’re hopeful that Zack Snyder’s film can help the studio get their cinematic universe back on track.

Either way, we’ll find out soon enough, as Justice League will blast into theatres on November 17th.
