Stranded on a desert island with zero hope of rescue, one’s mind would immediately jump to creating an SOS signal to attract attention, or perhaps creating a bloody volleyball for company. But in Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s bizarre buddy comedy Swiss Army Man, it’s the putrid, rotting corpse of Daniel Radcliffe that quickly becomes our protagonist’s only chance of survival.

Taking point as that hero is Paul Dano’s hapless explorer, Hank. Stranded on a island, Hank has all but resigned himself to never establishing contact with the human race again; that is, until the sea spits out Radcliffe’s stiff and frankly terrifying corpse.

It’s at this point Swiss Army Man takes a turn for the weird. After dealing with some posthumous flatulence, Hank experiences vivid hallucinations where Radcliffe’s decaying boy springs back to life, paving the way for a buddy comedy like no other. 10 Cloverfield Lane‘s Mary Elizabeth Winstead is also on board to star.

His farts are magic. His boner will guide you home. Look for Swiss Army Man to make its bow across New York and Los Angeles on June 24, before expanding nationwide on July 1.
