Gal Gadot’s immortal warrior is the current cover star of Empire Magazine, which means that, in anticipation of Wonder Woman‘s grand arrival on June 2nd, the outlet will begin to roll out a steady stream of interviews and photos for Patty Jenkins’ standalone pic over the coming days.

But just as one Empire reader got their hands on a subscribers’ copy ahead of schedule, today brings forth a raft of new images that depict Gal Gadot charging onto the front lines of World War I. Coming to us by way of SHH, keep in mind that those pictures above are simply scans of Empire‘s April issue, but we’ll update this post if and when the outlet lifts the lid on their official, high-res counterparts. While much of the attention is focused on Gadot’s Amazonian Warrior, lean close enough and you’ll be able to get a glimpse of director Patty Jenkins orchestrating a CG-heavy scene, along with an action shot of Diana Prince standing shoulder to shoulder with Connie Nielsen’s badass Queen Hippolyta.

Elsewhere, we’ve also caught wind that Warner Bros. hosted a test screening for Wonder Woman yesterday evening. Inevitably, the knee-jerk reactions are beginning to pour onto the interwebs, though we should stress that these Tweets are neither reviews nor reactions, but more reactions to reactions. Yes, WB is reportedly keeping a tight lid on Wonder Woman right up until the film’s release in June, but you can get a fleeting taste of what to expect down below. And again, don’t take these verdicts as gospel.

On June 2nd, Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot will introduce their Wonder Woman solo movie to the world. Off the back-to-back disappointments of Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad, there’s a particular weight of expectation resting on Diana Prince’s shoulders. But can WW deliver the goods? We’ll find out in due time.
