Following his colossal dust-up with The Vulture (Michael Keaton), Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is drafted into Avengers HQ, where Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) intends on revealing him to the press as the latest addition to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. It’s an offer no one would dare refuse and yet, that’s exactly what Parker did, politely telling Stark “thanks, but no thanks,” as he skips off to embrace his mantle as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

All in all, it’s a fitting finale to Jon Watts’ standalone pic, but for Peter, it comes at the expense of the cutting-edge Iron Spider suit, and if you’re curious to take a closer look at the armor, a new still has emerged by way of Art of VFX. Moreover, don’t worry about Parker’s decision to shelve the Iron Spider too much; thanks to the leaked teaser trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, we know that Tom Holland’s web-slinger will be suiting up as the Iron Spider when the battle against Thanos begins in earnest.

Not bad, huh? Similar to how Paul Bettany’s Jarvis served as the A.I. companion within Iron Man’s many suits – before he became The Vision, of course – Jennifer Connolly lent her voice to Spidey’s digital assistant, Karen, which leads us to believe that the actress will be on the Infinity War roll call when the time comes.

Spider-Man: Homecoming scurried into theaters earlier this month to rave reviews, thereby instilling a sense of confidence in Marvel as it begins fleshing out Peter Parker’s solo trilogy. Next up for Tom Holland’s Web-Head is the release of Avengers: Infinity War on May 4th and, presumably, the fourth, as-yet-untitled Avengers film in 2019.
