The film reunites Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Hailee Steinfeld and the rest of the energetic gang as they enter a high-profile competition. Setting up a do-or-die framework, the stage is set for the all-female a cappella crew to fight against the odds and prove that their reputation goes beyond the doors of Barden University.

Couple this with the catchy soundtrack and the trailer’s numerous comedic moments and you have a sequel that will look to take the successful formula of its predecessor one step further. Mind you, we’ll have to reserve or judgement until the film debuts in May to decide whether or not Pitch Perfect was a one trick, one film pony.

Elizabeth Banks will direct The Barden Bellas into action when Pitch Perfect 2 makes its much-anticipated debut in theaters on May 15. For now, you can share your early impressions of the full-length trailer via the comments section below.
