Well this isn’t at all surprising but it certainly is great news. Tom Hardy (Inception, Bronson) has been cast in the upcoming Batman film, Batman 3. It really is no surprise as many people guessed that director Christopher Nolan would carry over a member or two of his Inception cast to his new Batman film. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, Mysterious Skin) is all but confirmed to play the Riddler and now Hardy is confirmed in an unknown role.
Hardy is fantastic actor who gave a great performance in Inception. I think he would kill it in a villain role in Batman 3. If you’ve seen Bronson you know what he’s capable of.
Deadline doesn’t have any more details as to who Hardy will play but we do know that he is certainly in the film. If Gordon-Levitt also joins the cast along with Hardy, I think this has the potential to be better than The Dark Knight. Imagine a villain duo made up of Gordon-Levitt and Hardy. The results could be incredible.
Either way, with or without Gordon-Levitt, Hardy is a great addition to the cast and only helps raise our anticipation for Batman 3.
