It’s pretty much a foregone conclusion at this point which member of the MCU is the least trustworthy with secretive information: Tom Holland. Most recently, the portrayer of Peter Parker shared a video apologizing to the fandom for not having anything substantial to provide regarding the film colloquially referred to as Spider-Man: Homecoming 2. Long story short, while brandishing the script for his yet to be named sequel, the British actor let it slip that the twenty-third entry into the MCU will be titled Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Although, funnily enough, the informative tidbit isn’t even the most exciting communiqué regarding the pic to emerge this weekend. Earlier today, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Jake Gyllenhaal has closed his deal to play Mysterio, the classic Marvel villain known for his trickery, in the film.

Not to be outdone, though, Tom Holland stole the spotlight back by delivering a low blow to his Avengers: Infinity War co-star Anthony Mackie. During an Ace Comic-Con panel in Seattle, Mackie revealed that he hadn’t seen Spider-Man: Homecoming, much to Holland’s disappointment. It didn’t take long, however, for the young thespian to think of a witty response, which you can check out below.

Holland has been quite the comedic maestro as of late. Last week, him and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director J.A. Bayona playfully had it out on Twitter after it was revealed Holland had disclosed to Entertainment Weekly that he knew the plot of the dino-driven blockbuster before Chris Pratt did – who actually stars in the prehistoric motion picture.

Really, it seems that not a week goes by without the loveable Tom Holland making headlines for one reason or another, and as production begins to heat up on Spider-Man: Far From Home, we can look forward to seeing a lot more from the actor in the months to come.
