We still know very little about what Marvel has planned for Spider-Man: Homecoming. A new interview with THR revealed that star Tom Holland is contracted for at least three solo films, and the studio finally confirmed that Michael Keaton is indeed playing the Vulture, but aside from that, it’s been pretty slow and dry on the news front.
This latest bit of information doesn’t really do much to change that, but it’s still a fun little tidbit nonetheless. In the aforementioned interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Holland revealed that he’ll be putting his dancing talents to good use in the film, as there’ll be a scene where Peter Parker busts out the moves.

Of course, this brings to mind the much derided moment from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 where the character, at that time played by Tobey Maguire, does the same. It’s a horrible scene and one that fans still won’t let stop hating on to this day. Whether or not Holland’s dancing will result in something similar remains to be seen, but we’re pretty confident that the filmmakers have learnt from Raimi’s mistakes.
Here’s what the actor told THR about the dance scene, and what we can expect:
There is a moment where he dances, and it’s so funny. It’s not good dancing. The internet has perceived me as this fantastic dancer. I can still do a couple pirouettes, but I am by no means a proper dancer.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into theatres on July 7th, 2017, and you can expect Tom Holland to be showing off his moves when it does.
