As it turns out, Venn Pictures – the very minds behind Don’t Fall Asleep, a fan film that showed us what Nancy was up to between the first and third Nightmare movies – are releasing a documentary that “will follow 3 fans as they tell their story and what their journey in the Nightmare community has been; some as fans, others rising through popularity. Along the way, we will be filming at conventions and getting as many fan stories as possible to feature as many fans as we can in the documentary. It’s about the heart and soul of horror, and what Nightmare means to people and why it is not a typical slasher film.”

Now, as the production begins to come together, the first trailer to drop gives us a fine idea of what to expect, for the filmmakers have obviously begun making their rounds on the convention circuit. And aside from speaking to folks like you and me, interviews with the likes of Lisa Wilcox, Robert Kurtzman, Tuesday Night, Miko Hughes, Danny Hassel, Andras Jones, Toy Newkirk, Kelly Jo Minter, Ricky Dean Logan and Mick Strawn, among others, will be featured.

If you do, know that T-shirts, pins, posters, soundtracks, sunglasses, a limited edition DVD of the documentary itself and replica props signed by stars of the film series are up for grabs. Not bad, eh?
