The first trailer for The Avengers has hit the net. 2012 is shaping up to be a big year, with a ton of big blockbuster films being released. Included are The Dark Knight Rises, The Great Gatsby, Django Unchained and The Amazing Spider-Man. But, one of the biggest blockbusters releasing next year may just be The Avengers.
The project has been in development for over ten years, but it took director Joss Whedon to finally make The Avengers a reality. On top of the all star cast, the trailer gives us an insight to what we all love most about $100+ million dollar comic books films, big action. From this first glimpse, the film seems to be action based, with a hot cast and a nice twist of humor, which has been seen in the previous Marvel films.
The Avengers stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Paul Bettany, Gwyneth Paltrow, Stellan Skarsgård, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders and Amanda Righetti and is in cinemas on May 4th, 2012.
