Amanda Seyfried hasn’t picked the best roles in her career. Her last several films, including this year’s Red Riding Hood, have been colossal misfires in terms of both critical and box office reception. Her upcoming film, Gone, looks like it might be an OK thriller, but with a February release date, I fear that it may be another stinker for the young actress.
In the film, Seyfried plays Jill, a woman who believes her sister has been abducted by a serial killer who abducted her two years prior. She was the only person to ever escape from the killer’s hands and so she sets out to find her sister and possibly get revenge on the abductor.
Gone was directed by Heitor Dhalia and also stars Jennifer Carpenter, Wes Bentley and Sebastian Stan. It is set to be released on February 24, 2012.
