Trinity Poster For Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Brings The Key Players Together

Promotional one-sheets for superhero films are, naturally, a dime a dozen these days. Whether it's positioning said protagonist with their back to camera, or situating them front and center sporting a pensive look, it's a marketing tactic that is beginning to show signs of age. But now that Warner Bros. has finally got its ducks in a row, the studio has brought together what are arguably the three biggest icons in superhero lore for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice's eye-catching trinity poster.

Promotional one-sheets for superhero films are, naturally, a dime a dozen these days. Whether it’s positioning said protagonist with their back to camera, or situating them front and center sporting a pensive look, it’s a marketing tactic that is beginning to show signs of age. But now that Warner Bros. has finally got its ducks in a row, the studio has brought together what are arguably the three biggest icons in superhero lore for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s eye-catching trinity poster.

Granted, the image itself first made its way onto the Internet following the Hong Kong Licensing Expo, but today, a clearer version of the trinity piece has reared its superpowered head, showcasing the alter-egos of Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne and Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince.

With Zack Snyder behind the camera, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will see the actress stand alongside Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Man of Steel trio Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne. But the cast list for Warner Bros.’ ensemble piece doesn’t end there, with the likes of Scoot McNairy, Callan Mulvey, Jena Malone, Holly Hunter, Tao Okamoto, Ray Fisher and Jason Momoa — on board to play Cyborg and Aquaman, respectively, in minor roles — rounding out the list.

Last but certainly not least, Jeremy Irons will step into the shoes of Bruce Wayne’s trusty companion Alfred Pennyworth, whereas Jesse Eisenberg is taking point as overarching villain Lex Luthor — with a hairstyle to match.

Zack Snyder will bring the trinity together — along with a fair few supporting characters — when Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice makes its bow in theaters on March 25, 2016. For now, check out the poster above and the leaked Comic-Con trailer (in case you missed it) below and let us know what you think.
