Multiple movies have been made about the disasters of September 11, 2001, most notably United 93 and World Trade Center, but so far the emphasis has been more on the actual events of the day as opposed to the aftermath. Fleur De Lis Film Studios is looking to break from that mould though with their upcoming film September Morn.
The Howard Cohen script is described as in the vein of 12 Angry Men, and will be directed by BJ Davis. We’ve included a further description of the film below.
September Morn will provide an insight into the findings of the 9/11 Commission, intertwined with provocative perspectives of expert architects and scientists, CIA and Department of Defense officials, Department of Homeland Security officials and concerned American citizens.
The Fleur De Lis site also claims that the film is supported by “numerous organizations, groups, associations, celebrities, government whistleblowers and transparency advocates.”
The bit about government whistleblowers and transparency advocates is what catches my eye. There have been countless conspiracy theories about the events of that day, and this film could purely be a work of fiction based on any number of theories. However, on the off chance that they actually have some groundbreaking undiscovered information about the attacks, I’ll be quite interested to see how they handle it.
The film boasts a star-studded cast including Woody Harrelson, Ed Asner, and Martin Sheen.
We’ll report more information as it’s released.
