Xander Cage is back – and don’t we know all about it.
Bouncing off yesterday’s character posters, an electrifying new trailer for xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage has muscled its way onto the interwebs, and it welcomes the return of Vin Diesel’s adrenaline junkie in style. Forget the self-imposed exile and lapping up the sunshine in Bora Bora, Xander Cage is pulled back into the shady world of double-crossing operatives and power-mongering baddies when an impossibly powerful weapon known as Pandora’s Box emerges. It’s fallen into the wrong hands, as these things tend to do, gifting terrorists control of all the military satellites orbiting Earth. As this is the xXx series, expect enough “deadpan wit and badass attitude” to sink a ship.
I Am Number Four‘s D.J. Caruso is the director at the helm here, presiding over an eclectic cast that includes Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, Toni Collette, the returning Samuel L. Jackson, Tony Jaa, international footballer Neymar Jr., Nina Dobrev and Andrey Ivchenko as the film’s chief antagonist.
