Warner Bros. Working On A Musical Comedy For Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. in a musical comedy? Ya I find it odd also, apparently it's happening though. Brian Yorkey is in charge of the script and lyrics and Tom Kitt will be taking care of the music. For those unfamiliar with Yorkey and Kitt, they were the duo behind the broadway musical Next To Normal. Downey will reportedly play one half of a songwriting duo. The duo find themselves bankrupt after their latest musical flops. To gain some inspiration, the duo takes a job at a camp, teaching children to sing and dance. Downey Jr. will be required to both sing and play piano, which shouldn't be a problem, seeing as he's already released his own album.

Not much else is known but with Downey Jr.’s incredibly busy schedule, who knows if he’ll end up signing onto this one. Remember, he’s only attached to the project, not fully committed.

Not sure how this one can turn out but I am a big Downey Jr. fan so I’ll give it a shot.
