As it’s a vast franchise all about the never ending battle between good and evil, it’s not surprising that Star Wars features so much death. From the brief demise of the most anonymous Stormtrooper to the shocking fates of fan favourites like Han Solo, a ridiculous amount of characters have kicked the bucket throughout the various movies and TV shows in the franchise over the years.

If for some odd reason you’ve ever wanted to watch every Star Wars death back to back, you slightly strange, morbid person you, you’re now in luck. YouTube user CT 5555 has created an impressively comprehensive video that compiles the deaths of every named character from across the franchise. Thanks to George Lucas’ love of giving even the most minor players a first and second name, that results in a heck of a lot of deaths.

The video goes through them all chronologically, starting with The Phantom Menace and ending with The Force Awakens, by way of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Clone Wars and Rebels animated series. Due to their much larger scope in comparison to the movies, the TV shows take up the majority of the runtime, and the whole thing comes to a hefty 30 minutes. It’s well worth a watch though if you’re a fan of that galaxy far, far away and we suggest you check it out up in the player above.

Once you’ve done so, head on down to the comments section and let us know which Star Wars death packs the biggest punch for you.
