Watch Zack Snyder Announce Batman Vs. Superman

Yes, we're all very excited. Between Marvel and DC, there's more than enough excitement to go around. Now that Comic-Con 2013 is over, we can expect to see more videos from the various panels (and hopefully a trailer or two) beginning to roll out. On that note, here's one of the first: Zack Snyder's announcement of the Batman/Superman team up film, which may or may not be titled World's Finest, that will be coming at us in lieu of Man Of Steel 2.

Yes, we’re all very excited. Between Marvel and DC, there’s more than enough excitement to go around.

Now that Comic-Con 2013 is over, we can expect to see more videos from the various panels (and hopefully a trailer or two) beginning to roll out. On that note, here’s one of the first:  Zack Snyder’s announcement of the Batman vs. Superman film that will be coming at us in lieu of Man Of Steel 2.

What do we learn from this video? Well, we get a little snippet of footage as the Batman and Superman symbols come together in a little smorgasbord of awesome; or, if you’re like some fans I’ve been reading about online, a smorgasbord of ‘can’t they do any better than that?’ The noise of the crowd in Hall H is pretty deafening too. Everyone seems to be a wee bit excited about this one, even if the rumor hit much earlier than the actual panel discussion.

Although I have only a limited interest in the whole superhero franchise thing, this is still an exciting project, for a number of reasons. Zack Snyder and his Man Of Steel co-writer David Goyer are currently at work on the script for the film, with a 2015 release date in sight. Not much else is known about it right now but you can be sure that we’ll keep you posted.

The big question we all have is casting, of course. Henry Cavill will be back as Supes, Amy Adams returns as his girlfriend Lois Lane, and both Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane are set to reprise their roles as well. But what of the ever-present question of Batman? Who will be the next Caped Crusader alongside the Man of Steel? We know that Christian Bale is pretty much out of the running, but other than that the field’s wide open. Whoever it is, you can bet that the fans will have something very loud to say about it.
