A new batch of images from the London set of the Patty Jenkins-directed Wonder Woman movie have popped up online. The pics feature Gal Gadot as Diana Prince in her WWI-era garb, alongside Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. There’s also another unidentified woman, who appears to be presenting Diana with a sword and shield for some reason – not that she looks particularly pleased to be receiving them.

The sword does tie-in with a recent rumor that suggests the villain of the piece, Ares, will attempt to plague the world with war and destruction by unleashing the power of an ancient Amazonian blade, which could well be the weapon glimpsed above. You may have noticed Diana is welding a different sword in the images we’ve seen from Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, which also lends credence to the rumor that the magical item is lost during her climactic battle with Ares in her solo movie.

Of course, we’ll have to wait and see if any of this turns out to be accurate. For now though, there’s no harm in speculating.

Wonder Woman also stars Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Säid Taghmaoui, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner, and Lucy Davis, and will release on June 23, 2017.
