We’ve already had a batch of official stills and that low-quality cam footage from San Diego Comic-Con, but now, we have word on when the first trailer for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse is expected to debut.

According to Heroic Hollywood’s sources, the trailer will be attached to screenings of Ridley Scott’s The Martian, which is set for an October 2nd release. Now, usually a trailer will show up online before being show in theaters, so with that in mind, there’s a pretty good chance we could see our favourite mutant heroes in action again within the next couple of weeks – or at the very least, be treated to another round of promotional images.

Of course, that’s if this is accurate. Whenever a studio has an imminent theatrical release, there’s always speculation that they’ll take the opportunity to show a trailer for their next big tentpole with it. Sometimes that’s the case, but sometimes it’s not – we’ll just have to wait and see.

X-Men: Apocalypse stars Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, with newcomers Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy and Olivia Munn. The movie is set to be released on May 27th, 2016.
