Bryan Singer, an easy shoo-in for the title of most Tweet-happy director, has taken to Twitter again. He’s revealed a new snap from the set of X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Once again Singer puts Fox’s marketing folks to shame. Since the start of production he has posted first looks at most of the main players in the film. With the majority of the cast reprising their roles these sneak peeks have revealed few spoilers.

That’s all in the past (ahem) though as evidenced by this most recent pic. It has added fire to talk concerning the role of Peter Dinklage. The Game Of Thrones actor is rumoured to be playing Bolivar Trask, leader of Trask Industries. Who’s that? Well, according to Marvel lore, Trask is the military scientist responsible for creating the Sentinels. As Trask views mutants as the most horrific affront to humanity he develops a race of robotic creatures to fight back against the mutants.

Singer’s Tweet confirms the presence of Trask Industries in the sequel. Featuring a cast member leaning over the Craft Service table with an olive green shirt on, the words Trask Industries fill the back of the shirt. Does this mean Dinklage is definitely playing Trask? It’s uncertain but this hints towards it as a strong possibility. The storyline for the film includes the Sentinels so we can deduce that someone is playing him.

Currently shooting in Canada, X-Men: Days Of Future Past unites the major players from the X-Men cinematic canon. All the cast from the original trilogy are involved; Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin and Patrick Stewart to name a few. Closing the loop are the newer additions from X-Men: First Class including Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. This time the X-Men will travel in time to stop a major event from threatening both men and mutants.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past opens on July 18th 2014.
