Get A Better Look At Zack Snyder’s Wonder Woman Cameo With New Images

It was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment in the movie itself, but you might remember that it was reported a while back that Zack Snyder had a cameo in Wonder Woman. Though he didn't direct the movie - that was Patty Jenkins - Snyder did receive a story and producer credit on Wonder Woman so his input was repaid with a sneaky role in the film. For those who don’t know, the director played one of the soldiers present when Diana, Steve Trevor and their team arrive in a French village. Now, thanks to some new photos, you can get a closer look behind the scenes of Snyder’s cameo, courtesy of the DC Extended Universe Twitter account, which has shared screenshots of a featurette found on the home video release of Wonder Woman. The shots see Snyder, decked out in his World War I military get-up, chatting with Patty Jenkins and getting into character with his massive prop gun.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Snyder has cameoed in a DC production. He briefly turned up in his own movie Watchmen, the adaptation of Alan Moore’s seminal graphic novel released in 2009, as one of the soldiers fighting alongside The Comedian in Vietnam. Even harder to spot was his appearance in 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. In that film, Snyder’s hands were featured in one scene in place of Ben Affleck’s as Bruce Wayne.

It’s likely, then, that Snyder will also make an appearance in the upcoming Justice League, though presumably in another tiny role. That is, assuming Joss Whedon’s reshoots haven’t resulted in this supposed cameo removed, seeing as Jesse Eisenberg’s turn as Lex Luthor has allegedly been left on the cutting room floor.

Wonder Woman can now be seen on Digital HD, with the 4K, DVD and Blu-Ray releases coming up on September 19th.
