3LAU and Said The Sky have teamed up on a new collaboration, enlisting vocalist Christina on a future bass song called “Fire.” The two producers have offered up their new single for charity, serving as the second release on 3LAU’s BLUME label.
“Fire” begins with a delicate piano motif before Christina’s pristine vocals join the mix, layered over clanking rhythms and a gorgeous chord progression. Moving past the vocal driven verses, 3LAU and Said The Sky inject some future bass influence with bass heavy sub kicks and wavering synth chords. The songs keeps a concise structure that never overstays its welcome, contrasting poppy verses with danceable drops without ever losing its melodic edge.
3LAU and Said The Sky’s new collaboration has been released through the non-profit label BLUME, with all proceeds from streams and sales of the single being donated to Pencils Of Promise, a charitable organization that builds schools and funds educational efforts in the developing world.
With strong production values and a good cause to back it up, 3LAU and Said The Sky’s “Fire” is one for the books.
