Aire Atlantica opens his “Blood In The Cut” remix with a reverb drenched string motif before booming sub kicks and rapid fire hi-hat trills carve a head nodding rhythm underneath K.Flay’s smoky topline delivery. Moving past the poppy verses, the producer works his trap magic with distant vocal chop melodies, synth chords and start-stop grooves.

Aire Atlantica transforms K.Flay’s ode to the breakup blues into a beat driven heater with a fresh sound. The pop hooks from the original are maintained throughout the remix, preserving the attitude of “Blood In The Cut” while pushing it into new sonic territory that serves the source material well.
