Leave it to Arty to lay down a track that restores our faith in progressive trance. The Russian DJ/producer wowed us with the collection of songs he put together for his debut album, Glorious – and it looks like there’s more where that came from if his latest track, “Patriots,” is any indicator.

Curiously, “Patriots” begins with filtered percussive elements that almost hint at the production subtleties of techno. Soon, however, they build up to an echoey piano melody and vocal sample before hurdling into a grandiose synth lead sure to unite everyone standing in front of a festival main stage in excited movement.

“Patriots” has arrived through Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats record label – to which Arty has been signed since 2011. In recent years, however, he has primarily released music through Insomniac Records.

With festival season now well underway, it stands to reason that “Patriots” will be the first of many tracks to be released from Arty in the coming months, so stay tuned for more.
