Axwell /\ Ingrosso have finally released the vocal edit to “Dream Bigger,” and it’s everything we expected.
It’s a page out of the Swedish playbook, releasing an instrumental track, then re-releasing with a vocal edit, and it works every time. There’s plenty of vocal processing to complement the guitar riffs and swooning synths, and though the single was reported to boast Pharrell Williams on vocals, we’ve yet to see any credits for the track.
Along with the new mix, the duo has released a worthy music video. Filtered in a pre-digital grain, it’s a lot like those old VCR home movies somewhere in your garage. Plenty of green room dancing, jet hopping, and scenes peeking at the life backstage are present to start your dreams of hitting it big. The track’s entire three minutes are meant to excite your aspirations, and there are even some bouncing karaoke lyrics to stoke your inner Pharrell.
