VonStroke’s version of “Omen” makes a short snippet of Sam Smith’s iconic vocal from the original its centerpiece, building the structure of the rest of the song around the rhythm of its syllables. An acid house squelch accompanies pitch shifting and other effects, resulting in a track that sounds as unique as what you would expect from VonStroke.
