The producer surprised fans in late May when he dropped the new track without any previous hype, delivering a high class Trip hop exercise with chilled out overtones. “Snowcone” represents something of a departure for the Canadian electronic guru, featuring many of his signature elements used to new effect for the downtempo tune, with his top notch synth productions weaving a hazy atmosphere over hip hop styled beats.

While “Snowcone” isn’t the most energetic single in the deadmau5 catalog, it seems to be a worthy addition to his live show and the man himself looks excited to be giving it a whirl before the large crowd.
