Decadence NYE Announces Deadmau5, Bassnectar And Hardwell Among Headliners

You might not expect Colorado to be the place to be this New Years Eve - that is, unless you've got your finger on the pulse of EDM. Denver massive Decadence NYE has revealed its first wave of lineup announcements for those ringing in the New Year in the Mile High City, and quite frankly I wouldn't have expected Global Dance (or its parent company, AEG Live, for that matter) to give it this big of a budget.

You might not expect Colorado to be the place to be this New Years Eve – that is, unless you’ve got your finger on the pulse of EDM. Denver massive Decadence NYE has revealed its first wave of lineup announcements for those ringing in the New Year in the Mile High City, and quite frankly I wouldn’t have expected Global Dance (or its parent company, AEG Live, for that matter) to give it this big of a budget.

A series of farcical lineup announcement memes almost stole the show this time around, but the actual entertainment roster still managed to deliver tenfold. Hardwell, deadmau5 and Jack Ãœ hold down the top tier of this year’s lineup for the first time. Bassnectar makes an obligatory return as Colorado’s love affair with bass music has yet to diminish, and artists like Galantis, ODESZA and Excision round out the current list of names. At this point, the real question is what artists are every other party in the world going to book?

The only criticism echoed in the Denver scene is that aside from Hot Since 82, the lineup is lacking in the underground house and techno department – perhaps owing to the fact that Claude VonStroke’s set last year catalyzed a mass exodus of bass heads to the opposite stage. However, Decadence NYE is still three months out, so these artist announcements may well arrive at a later time.

For now, here’s the current lineup:

Deadmau5
Jack U
Hardwell
Bassnectar
Hot Since 82
What So Not
Jai Wolf
Dabin
Matthew Koma
Galantis
UZ
Gramatik
ODESZA
BTSM
SON OF KICK
SALVA
FIGURE
The Floozies
