Exclusive Video Interview With Hardwell

Robbert van de Corput, or Hardwell as he's more commonly known in the industry, has been DJ'ing since the age of 12. By 13 he was already signed to his first record label and the very next year, he started playing at some of the most reputable clubs in his home country, the Netherlands. Now, 12 years later, Hardwell is an international superstar, having just been ranked the #1 DJ in the world for the second year in a row.

As one of the most exciting, talented and well-respected acts in the industry, Hardwell is a force to be reckoned with. The Revealed Recordings boss has delivered hit after hit, always surpassing expectations and consistently delivering. From his early collaboration with Tiesto, “Zero 76,” to classics like “Spaceman” and “Apollo,” the Dutch DJ continues to push boundaries and pump out impressively produced tracks.

Currently, Robbert is on his I Am Hardwell tour, which has taken him all around the globe, playing sold out shows in some of the world’s biggest venues. Last week, he stopped by Toronto for a show and while there, I caught up with him backstage before his set for an exclusive interview. Humble, friendly and displaying a genuine love for what he does, Hardwell spoke with me about his current tour, plans for his upcoming album, what the #1 DJ ranking means to him and much more.

Check out the video above to hear what Hardwell had to say and enjoy the interview!
