Aussie producer Flume is currently hard at work on his upcoming album Skin, and a few weeks back, he gave us a mini-mix which showcased a bit of what he’s been working on. Now, he’s given us a full single to feast on, and it comes in the form of his collaboration with Canadian singer Kai.

Titled “Never Be Like You,” the vocally-driven track premiered on BBC Radio 1 and fits quite comfortably into Flume’s wheelhouse. Filled with ambient sounds, bright synths and that future bass vibe that the DJ is so well known for, this is another beautiful piece of work from Harley. It’s a bit more reliant on vocals than some of his past tracks, but thankfully, Kai is up to the task and lays down her angelic voice alongside the top notch production.

“Kai and I were sending ideas back and forth online, then met up in NYC and went into the studio,” Flume (aka Harley Streten) said in a press release. “We laid down some chords and started an idea but weren’t feeling inspired. So we went out into the night for a few hours and when we returned, it all started to come together.”

Take a listen to Flume‘s latest above and as always, hit the comments and let us know what you think of it.
