Frank Ocean Announces A String Of New Shows

We might not be seeing Frank Ocean win a Grammy this coming February, but we will get to see him hit the stage live once again - and that’s a pretty good consolation prize. It's been a long couple of years since Ocean actually played a show, and now with this past summer’s release of his record, Blonde, he’s finally making up for lost time with a string of concert announcements.

We might not be seeing Frank Ocean win a Grammy this coming February, but we will get to see him hit the stage live once again – and that’s a pretty good consolation prize. It’s been a long couple of years since Ocean actually played a show, and now with this past summer’s release of his record Blonde, he’s finally making up for lost time with a string of concert announcements.

Ocean will get to shake off some rust for one of his first shows back when he plays the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama on May 19th. Following that, there will be another show on May 26th in George, Washington at the Sasquatch! Music Festival. Sense a trend here? He’ll be continuing his festival run with additional appearances at events in England and Denmark, too. For more details, you can head here.

It’s a bit of a tease that this is all we’re getting for now, but you’d have to expect that Ocean could potentially land in a line-up for additional U.S. festivals in the future – Coachella, anyone? Whether he’s just going to play at a couple of festivals or plans to embark on a nationwide wide tour as well, it’s just nice to see that Frank Ocean is going to be able to showcase those pipes again after such a long absence from the spotlight.
