Chiddy Bang, maybe you’ve heard of them, maybe you haven’t. People who follow hip-hop and rap closely will undoubtedly be familiar with the name but for the more mainstream audience the name still may be foreign. The group specializes in alternative hip hop and is made up of two guys. Chidera “Chiddy” Anamege and Noah Beresin aka Xaphoon Jones.
Chiddy Bang really only started to become popular in the last year or so and although they haven’t fully broken into the mainstream yet they are still ‘pretty much amazing’. The Philly based duo is growing in popularity everyday and some bloggers have gone as far as calling them a “hipster’s wet dream.” Last year they released ‘The Preview’, an EP that earned great reviews and prepared eager fans for the band’s upcoming and highly anticipated album, ‘The Swelly Life’, which will drop this summer.
We recently caught up with Chidera “Chiddy” Anamege and sat down with him to discuss their upcoming album, their music, their influences, how they got to where they were and more. The interview was done over the phone and unfortunately the audio quality on Chiddy’s side wasn’t great but we did our best to clean it up.
