Kygo Drops First Original Single Firestone

I've said this several times before, and it's a statement that a lot of people in the music industry are beginning to echo, but Kygo truly is the next big thing in EDM. The Norwegian producer began to garner fame after releasing several huge remixes that were infused with his signature tropical house sound. Now, the 23-year-old DJ is getting ready to release his debut album and to kick things off, he's released his first original single.

I’ve said this several times before, and it’s a statement that a lot of people in the music industry are beginning to echo, but Kygo truly is the next big thing in EDM. The Norwegian producer began to garner fame after releasing several huge remixes that went viral and absolutely exploded. Now, the 23-year-old DJ is getting ready to release his debut album and to kick things off, he’s dropped his first original single over on Spotify.

Titled “Firestone,” the song is unmistakably a Kygo production, boasting soothing vocals from Conrad and the DJ’s signature tropical house sound. It’s an absolute knockout and hands-down one of my favorite EDM tracks of 2014. Given the current climate of the industry, where banger after banger are being pumped out with nothing really differentiating them, Kygo is providing a refreshing and exciting new sound that is definitely going to set the EDM world on fire.

Check out “Firestone” below and let us know if you what you think of the first original track from Kygo.
