Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV Delayed Until June

Rap Dose brings us reports today that Lil Wayne's upcoming album, the highly anticipated Tha Carter IV, has suffered a delay. The album was supposed to hit on May 16th but now fans will have to wait until sometime in June. Many suspect that the tracklist leak was the reason for the delay but apparently it had nothing to do with it. The delay was decided on well before the tracklist hit the internet. Speaking of which, one of Lil Wayne's producers recently saw the tracklist and said that "Wayne and I did a few records together, but none of the track names in the tracklist look familiar.”

I’m not sure if I believe him. This kind of thing happens all the time, where the tracklist leaks and the producers/artists deny that it’s authentic, only to end up having a near identical tracklist on the album once it’s released. As for the delay though, I’d love to know the reason as I’m pretty upset about it. I was really looking forward to getting my hands on the album. I’m sure the wait will be worth it though. I don’t think Weezy will let his fans down with this one.
