Listen To Dillon Francis’ Remix Of Disclosure’s Omen

Several months after Disclosure put out "Omen" ahead of their sophomore album, Caracal, Dillon Francis has put a remix of the track with his own signature style written all over it. It's hard to improve upon the original, which stood out as the strongest track from the Surrey, England brothers' album, but Francis' changes aren't an unwelcome aberration from the source material.

It’s hard to improve upon the original, which stood out as the strongest track from the Surrey, England brothers’ album, but Francis’ changes are a welcome aberration from the source material.

Then again, the reason for that might be that he kept his creative liberties to a minimum. Aside from a slight raise in tempo and beefed-up percussion, the lead verse features scarce changes. He did, however, transform the bridge after the first chorus into a festival-ready drop – but exercised enough restraint not to betray the groove of the original by going overboard with the bass.

In regards to the remix, Francis writes:

This is my favorite song that i have produced since ‘Coming Over.’ I wanted it to have the same vibe as coming over and i deff think i nailed it with this one… So you can expect way more stuff like this from me in the coming future.”
