News of an untimely tragedy has begun to circulate throughout the electronic music community this weekend. Los Angeles-based DJ/producer Nicholas “Pumpkin” Alvarado has died as the result of a car accident that took place in between stops on his spring tour.

Alvarado was slated to perform one of his eclectic DJ sets tonight at an event in Crystal Bay, Nevada. In the past, he had played at festivals like Coachella and EDC, and was “a favorite of LA artist collective and event company The DoLab.”
