Lupe Fiasco is already a frequent collaborator with the Neptunes and is even one-third of CRS (Child Rebel Soldier) with Kanye and Pharrell but in a HardKnockTV interview with Skateboard P, he hints at possibly making him part of the rock/ hip hop band, N.E.R.D.
“We just want to come through with the real attention to detail and nostalgia,” he explained. “We want to make real collector’s items [of our] albums…Lupe [Fiasco] is our brother, period. If there was…a fourth member of N.E.R.D., it would probably be Lupe. That’s not to say that that wouldn’t happen, by the way…I’d be honored to do an N.E.R.D. album with Lupe.“
While not exactly a confirmation, it’s interesting to think of how a N.E.R.D. album would sound with Lupe on the tracks. Continuing to look ahead, Lupe spits the supposed intro to ‘Food & Liquor II’ at a Marquette University Hip-Hop forum. Yes, ‘Lasers’ isn’t even out yet and is set to drop March 2011 but that doesn’t stop Lupe from continuing to work hard on another project. Check out the video below.
