Fans have been eagerly anticipating the follow-up to ‘Madvillainy’, the 2005 collaboration album between two of underground hip hop’s most respected and innovative artists that shook up the hip hop world when it released.
This leaked song may ease the wait for fans. This song is called Avalanche/ Victory Lap and was taken from Stones Throw Podcast #64, the official podcast from Madlib’s record label. Check it out below.
While producer Madlib has been very busy in 2010 with his unprecedented monthly ‘Medicine Show’ releases, rapper DOOM had a fairly quiet year. While no official announcement about a second Madvillain album has been made, we all knew it was bound to happen someday. Hopefully 2011 will be the year and this leak looks like a good sign that it’s going to happen.
