Always one to use his status to assist rising talent, Romero has called upon fellow Dutchmen and production duo Navarra for an electrifying song called “Crossroads.”
“Crossroads” opens quietly with pristine tenor vocals ringing out over slowly growing synth chords. Somber atmosphere and light percussive touches slowly work the energy upward, serving as a slow burning introduction to an otherwise high octane club number. As house beats explode into the speakers, high pitched vocal chops carve out a catchy melody over a steady bassline. The drums drop away for an emotive breakdown featuring a cinematic orchestral sequence, before coming to a conclusion on an energetic high note.
With its blend of powerful chord progressions, excellent vocals and driving dancefloor charm, Nicky Romero and Navarra’s “Crossroads” proves to be a memorable effort that’s sure to make a splash on the dancefloors.
