“Weaponize” is a bass heavy banger that sees the group exploring new sonic terrain. The track opens innocently enough, with an energizing bassline and a catchy synth melody, but things quickly take a turn into the rowdy drops, which feature grating metallic bass sounds, ear shattering beats and a repeating vocoder phrase that references the track’s namesake.

2016 has proven a busy year for Pegboard Nerds, who aided Krewella with production duties on their latest EP, while dropping some major collabs with NGHTMRE and Grabbitz. Their latest effort on “Weaponize” serves as one of their heaviest tracks yet, and is a welcome addition to their fast growing discography.
