To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their Music Lounge, SiriusXM threw an epic, 3-day party at the 1 Hotel & Homes during Miami Music Week, and we were lucky enough to be in attendance at the exclusive, private event.

Taking place on the beach, in a secluded blocked off section, the location made for a picturesque backdrop for what turned out to be one of Miami Music Week’s hottest parties. And given just how much was going on during the week, that’s definitely saying something. But trust us, this was the one place that people wanted to be on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, as it provided the perfect warm up to the week’s main event: Ultra Music Festival.

Boasting an all-star lineup of DJs, which saw artists like Kygo, deadmau5, Armin Van Buuren, Eric Prydz, Above & Beyond, Martin Garrix, Cash Cash, Adventure Club and many more make appearances, the SiriusXM Music Lounge was an absolute blast. It may not have been as big in size when compared to something like No Sugar Added, but the smaller nature of the party gave it a more intimate and special feel, and made for a nice environment in which to see artists who you’d usually only catch on a festival main stage.

The sets themselves may have been short (about 30 minutes each), but the constant revolving door of A-listers hitting the stage meant that the good music never stopped, and neither did the party. Though the first day, Wednesday, was a bit quieter than Thursday and Friday, the entire event was bumping from start to finish and no matter where you looked, everyone was up, dancing and having a good time.

The Music Lounge was attended by some pretty high profile people, too, as not only could you count on seeing the artists who were playing walking around in between sets and interacting with lucky fans, but just about anyone who’s anyone in electronic dance music stopped by at some point throughout the three days. And it wasn’t only the EDM crowd who flocked to the buzzy party; we spotted a few NBA players and numerous artists from all corners of the music industry dropping by as well.

With good weather, good tunes and good people populating the SiriusXM Music Lounge this year, it was certainly another successful outing for the company’s party, which never disappoints. They did it up real big for their 10th anniversary, and given how much fun the whole thing was, we’re eager to see how they plan to top it when the event returns to Miami next March.
