The ever-relevant Skrillex has revealed that his global takeover will continue, as he has announced a tour across the nation of India in October. It’s no secret that EDM is big business in India, and if SFX Entertainment’s recent restructuring stateside is any indication, the industry may turn out to see more longevity on the other side of the world.
The news arrives following the end of Sonny and Diplo’s Full Flex Express tour across Canada as Jack Ü, as well as the outfit’s announcement that they would make their Ibiza debut at Amnesia later in the month. Directly after a series of dates throughout East Asia, Skrillex’s India tour will consist of four performances – in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi – from October 8th-11th.
Quite frankly, I would love to see both Skrillex and Diplo perform and release more independently of one another. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: No matter how much money they’re making as Jack Ü, the project is undeniably a musical low point for both artists.
