Slushii just played his debut live set at HARD Summer over the weekend, which included a special guest in the form of Skrillex, but that didn’t stop the rising dance music star from releasing an original production just days prior to the performance. Teaming up with vocalist Madi, the future bass producer has released a smooth new single titled “So Long.”
“So Long” opens with an enchanting music box melody that is quickly joined by touching piano chords and icy atmospheres. Madi’s fragile vocals serve as a central focus throughout the verses, before Slushii works his future bass magic in the drops. A catchy chord progression creates a pulsing rhythm alongside slowed down beats and uplifting synth melodies, and the results are intoxicating.
Despite its name, Slushii‘s gorgeous new single doesn’t seem to go on nearly long enough, and you’ll likely be hitting the replay button by the time it ends.
