As with his other remixes and originals, Speaker of the House’s “Runaway” remix captures the warmth of tropical house while avoiding the genre’s obvious clichés – like pan flute or steel drum synths. Instead, its reverberant synths and underscoring piano melody are complimented ever so delicately by a resonant strings section, and cuts of the original top line echo into the background like ripples across a placid seashore.
