After impressing fans and critics alike with his 2008 debut album Duck, Cover and Hold, Style of Eye is back with his sophomore effort, Footprints. Described by the Swedish DJ has a result of wanting to “break loose from what he was doing and explore the stuff that he was hearing and liking at the time,” the album arrives with much anticipation.

In a recent interview with In The Mix, the producer said the following about his new disc:

I started working on this album four years ago. I felt fed up with what I was doing at the time and simply needed a fresh start. I decided to build it around songwriting rather than track-making and it’s gone through many phases but I’m really happy with the end result.

Having listened to Footprints several times already, I can assure you that it’s another excellent release from Style of Eye, full of exciting material that will without a doubt please fans of the DJ.

You can check out one of my favorite tracks from the album below, and if you dig it, be sure to pick up the new album from Style of Eye as it’s now available for purchase!
